FAQs

What is a limited edition print?

This is an image of which only a certain number are printed. After the series has expired no further images of that work will be made. As an image nears its expiry, the purchase price of that image may increase accordingly.

Can I request a specific limited edition number within the edition or are they sold only in sequential order?

If the specific number you request is still available, then we are happy to consider your request. However, as the edition moves toward expiry, we may not be able to accommodate you.

How should I care for my print?

Each image is made using pigment ink and is printed on stable archival fine art cotton rag paper. The image will be accompanied by an informative document about it’s care.

It has been shown however that continued and prolonged exposure to sunlight will in time damage all ink and dye based materials. We therefore recommend that you hang your artwork out of the glare of direct sunlight.

Will you sign a print with a special dedication if requested?

Charlie Waite signs every image that is dispatched. He would be happy to accommodate your request where possible.

Do I have to pay postage?

There are no postage charges within the UK. However a small nominal charge is made regardless of weight or size for images dispatched to continental Europe, the USA and the Far East.

Can you guarantee delivery of my print by a certain date?

We aim to send you your artwork as soon as possible after receipt of your payment, and in many cases that will be within a week of your order. However, since Charlie Waite is often travelling overseas for extended periods of time and he is only able to sign your image when he is back in the UK, we do request that you allow 21 days between the date you place your order and the date by which you need to have received delivery.

What happens if the print arrives damaged?

Great care is taken to wrap and pack your image carefully to avoid any damage in transit. However, if this does happen, we would ask that you get in touch with us as soon as possible. We would then arrange for a courier to collect the work and replace it as a matter of urgency.

Is a discount available if I order a large number of prints?

If your intention is to place an order over and above four images, we request that you email the studio at sales@charliewaite.com and a member of the team will be in contact with you to discuss the level of discount.

Can you arrange for my print to be framed and shipped to me after framing?

Regrettably this is not possible as a framed image often results in breakage and subsequent damage.
