Joseph, Cornwall by Charlie Waite
Limited Edition Signed Landscape Print
In the 1970s, I tried a high-speed panchromatic film known as Kodak recording film. It was possible to rate it at anything between 1000 and 4000 ASA and develop appropriately. It was often used for surveillance.
Experimentation based on hunch can lead to appalling failures yet, on this day, as my dog, Joseph, sat on a sandy mound near St Enedoc in Cornwall, I chose for some reason I am unable to remember, to load my camera with Kodak recording film. When I made the print, the extreme grain was, of course, very evident seemingly resulting in a melding of the near and beyond.
