In 1980 Charlie Waite first saw his work published having been commissioned to produce all images for the highly acclaimed “National Trust Book of Long Walks” written by Adam Nicolson. With the book’s huge success, there followed it’s sequel; “Long Walks in France”. In 1982 “Landscape in Britain” followed, which firmly established Charlie Waite as the first landscape photographer in the UK to re define the way in which we see landscape through photography. Over the last 25 years, Charlie Waite has published a book annually and in total there are 28. Most notably; best selling ”The Making of Landscape Photographs which has been reprinted 10 times and is currently in print. Also, in 2004 was published a portfolio of his black and white work; “In My Minds Eye” which contains 72 plates of his darkroom printed works. Charlie Waite’s most recent book, “Landscape, The Story of Fifty Favourite Photographs” in which his stories partner his images has sold out and is currently being reprinted.
